Connecting parents, students and community
If you notice your children coming home from school singing and telling you about the Native American flute, it's because we have a new, incredibly talented music teacher. From Ms Tamela: Hello Early Childhood families! I am so excited to announce our new music teacher and EC music program with Healing Harmony! Trina Rainey is a Board Certified Music Therapist and Music Educator. Trina has taught in over 10 schools in the Bozeman area with over 12 years of experience working in early childhood. Trina plays the Native American flute, guitar, piano, violin and various percussion instruments along with her voice to explore the wonders if music! In the clinical setting, she uses music to help alleviate pain, anxiety, depression etc. while offering supportive presence and counsel. Trina works with adults and children with disabilities, dementia/Alzheimer's patients, and people affected by cancer. She has worked for hospice for 12 years and currently works at Bozeman Health Hospital to provide music therapy services in all areas of the inpatient hospital including ICU, Labor and Delivery/ Postpartum and both the medical and surgical floors. Trina has two children, a wonderful husband and loves to run, ski, dance and be outside! She is thrilled to be a part of Bozeman Summit School!! https://m.facebook.com/healingharmonymt/
