Connecting parents, students and community
BSS parents, board members and teachers joined to lend a hand at Bozeman's Fork and Spoon Cafe on Sunday evening. Thanks to all who showed up to help out and especially to Geraldine Govaerts for organizing this event. With Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, it was a timely reminder of how much we can accomplish when we come together to make a difference.
"Establishing lasting peace is the work of education." -Maria Montessori
We are looking for 2-3 more volunteers to help out at the Fork & Spoon Cafe this Sunday, January 14th from 4:30-7:30. It’s a great opportunity to give back to the community while having fun! Let us know if you are available! email@example.com

Thursday, November 9, 2017
Don't worry about cooking; enjoy some delicious pizza and mingle with other BSS families. A portion of the sales that evening will be donated to BSS.
We are tallying up our Read-a-Thon money, so it's time to help your kids ring some doorbells and collect from that neighbor that never seems to be home!
Bozeman Public Library's Bookmobile is visiting us Wednesday, November 1st and Wednesday November 15th from 10AM-11AM!
The Bookmobile will have books and other materials for the young and old, and everyone in between. You can get a library card, place and pick up holds, check out books, DVDs, audio books and a tremendous selection of Playaways.
You may have seen this colorful bus cruising around town. Now is your chance to take a peek inside and enjoy their incredible efforts in creating a unique and convenient opportunity to access Library resources. Hop on the bus at BSS!
If you notice your children coming home from school singing and telling you about the Native American flute, it's because we have a new, incredibly talented music teacher.
From Ms Tamela:
Hello Early Childhood families!
I am so excited to announce our new music teacher and EC music program with Healing Harmony!
Trina Rainey is a Board Certified Music Therapist and Music Educator. Trina has taught in over 10 schools in the Bozeman area with over 12 years of experience working in early childhood. Trina plays the Native American flute, guitar, piano, violin and various percussion instruments along with her voice to explore the wonders if music! In the clinical setting, she uses music to help alleviate pain, anxiety, depression etc. while offering supportive presence and counsel. Trina works with adults and children with disabilities, dementia/Alzheimer's patients, and people affected by cancer. She has worked for hospice for 12 years and currently works at Bozeman Health Hospital to provide music therapy services in all areas of the inpatient hospital including ICU, Labor and Delivery/ Postpartum and both the medical and surgical floors. Trina has two children, a wonderful husband and loves to run, ski, dance and be outside! She is thrilled to be a part of Bozeman Summit School!!
